The landscape from Bucarest to Sofia by train is not really attractive and, because of it, the journay could seem longer than it is.
Ivo, our hoster, came to pick us up at the station and in a few hours we were already absorbed in the night life of Sofia.

There are deep differencies between these two capital cities, Sofia is smaller and
warmer than Bucarest, not to much crowd and easy to visit. Ivo was a really good turistic guide, we spent together most of the time and it was really pleasant.
We talked about politics, art, history, cultural events...it was a very interesting meeting with a savvy and kind guy.

To be hosted in his house was a full immersion in the bulgarian culture also because through him we could meet another very nice person who hosted us in Plovdiv and Karlovo.
